Mission Statement:
The Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee sponsors an annual leadership symposium for leaders responsible for implementing a standards-based system in which all students are achieving. Each region selects an instructional leadership team that represents their region. Team responsibilities include participation in pre-symposium meetings and symposium follow-up planning and support.
Major Projects 2010 - 2011:
This year's Curriculum & Instruction Leadership Symposium is tentatively titled:
Leading the Way: Articulated Opportunities in Literacy Pre-K Through Grade 12.
The symposium is scheduled for February 21-23, 2007 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. The symposium supports the rollout of the upcoming Reading/Language Arts Framework.
Meeting Schedule 2010 - 2011:
Cricket Kidwell of Trinity COE is the planning committee representative for the February 2008 symposium.
