UC Davis Extension, Education Programs
Mission Statement:
UC Davis Extension provides professional development courses with post-baccalaureate
academic credit and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for educators. The goal of our programs is to expand and enhance the
knowledge, skills and abilities of K-12 teachers, administrators, and support staff to
meet the needs of all students.

Major Projects 2010 - 2011:
Programs are offered in a variety of formats and settings, including:
- Open enrollment courses and certificate programs in Davis and Sacramento,
described in our quarterly UC Davis Extension catalog.
- Contract delivery of site-based educational programs for district or county
office cohorts.
- Tailor-made courses on request to address specific district or county needs.
- Credit services for district and county staff development programs
- Academic Courses/Programs/Certificates
- Specialized Studies Program in Autism Spectrum Disorders (CCTC-approved added authorization/certificate in development)
- College Admissions Counseling and Career Planning
- CCTC approved K – 12 Reading Certificate Program
- Advanced Placement Summer Institute
- Teaching English as a Second Language and CLAD/CTEL
- Clear Credential Courses
- Teaching the Gifted and Talented (GATE)
- New programs in development: data-driven instruction, behavioral supports, educational leadership
